Claude P. Callaway, age 70 of Union Point died Wednesday, May 31st at the Boswell hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Greene County on December 8, 1896 the son of Lemuel Callaway and Julia Askew Callaway
Mr. Callaway was retired employee of Georgia Railroad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union Point and the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors are his wife and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Thursday at the graveside in Wisteria cemetery. Rev. Chas. H. Koop officiating.
The pallbearers were Frank Yearwood, Howard Brown[,] Hollis Yearwood, Jack Vaughn, Robert Johnson, John Culbreath.
