Ezra & one of his sons had been to Southern Illinois visiting relatives & looking at land to buy. While on their way home Ezra got sick & died near Hopkinsville,Kentucky in 1838.
Ezra was a gunsmith by trade. There are a number of his guns scattered around eastern Tennessee.
