Donald Gray Ormond

Donald Gray Ormond, 75, of New Bern, died Aug. 11, 2009, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Sherwood Forest FWB Church. He retired from the Air Force and worked for Southeast Equipment Company and Barbour Boat Works.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Cotten Chapel with the Rev. John Moran and the Rev. Robert Ormond officiating. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens, Vanceboro.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Manning Ormond; one son, Donnie Ormond Jr. of Shreve-port, La.; two brothers, Robert Tinker Ormond of New Bern and David Jerome Ormond of Wil-mar; three sisters, Polly Whitehurst and Naomi Edwards, both of New Bern and Peggy Lawrence of Elizabeth City; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Cotten Funeral Home and other times at the home, 909 Manning Road, New Bern.
