Paul S. Staples

COALVILLE-Paul Stanley Staples, 55, of Coalville, died Monday in Coalville when struck by lightning.
Mr. Staples was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Coalville, a son of John W. and Bertha Ann Staples.
He was married to Violet Dillistone on Jan. 24, 1941. in Ironton, Ohio. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a member of the Coalville 2nd LDS Ward and former ward clerk and elders quorum president.
He was a dairyman and rancher and was a member of the Soil Conservation District. He was secretary and watermaster of the Spring Hollow Ditch Co.
Surviving are his widow of Coalville; the following sons and daughters; William Paul Staples, Rodney Carl Staples, Glenda Jean Staples, all of Coalville; Mrs. Byron (Carol) France, Peoa, Utah; Norman Dale Staples, Wanship; Mrs. Val (Marie) Cowley, Ephriam; eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; J. Emerson Staples, Mrs. Theodore (Annie) Robinson, both of Coalville; Rulon W. Staples, Nyssa, Ore.; Mrs. Edward (Juanita) Moore, Upton, Utah; Mrs. Ralph (Mabel) Anderson, Roseburg, Ore.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the summit LDS Stake Chapel.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Burial in the Coalville Cemetery.
