James G. McLaughlin, of Madison township, died Tuesday mornin g at his home near the state line. Following an illness due to the infirmities of age. When a boy he sustained an injury to leg and practically all life suffered from swelling which made him cripple.
He was the son of William and Rebecca McLaughlin. He was the oldest of a family of seven boys and two girls, of whom all save one sister and one brother, still survive. He was born in Meigs County, Ohio July 14, 1834, and at his death was 76 years, 1 month, 9 days of age.
