Edward J. Barry, aged 77 years, passed away at his home on Chapin Street on Saturday night following an illness of two weeks. Deceased was born in Palmyra, April 25, 1852, and had been a carpenter in this vicinity for many years. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. John J. Long and Mrs. Joseph Brown, Canandaigua, Mrs. Frank Kirkmire, Rochester, five sons, Walter, Elmer, George, Canandaigua, Fred, of Rochester, and Gordon, of New York City, one brother, Patrick Barry, of Canandaigua, and one sister, Mrs. H. Ball, of New Jersey. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at St. Mary's Church with interment in Calvary cemetery.
