Born in Wiesenmuller, Russia and married Mary Buxman on April 28, 1903 in Russia. They came to America in 1908, settled in Russell, KS and by 1912 had moved to Lincoln, NE where he built many homes. The family moved to Portland in 1937. He was survived by 5 daughters, 2 sons, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 sisters.
