The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rosenmeier of the town of Beaver Dam was celebrated at their home Sunday with a family dinner. Their six children, Mrs. Robert Bohl, and Mr. Karl Rosenmeier of the town of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Leona Meyer of the town of Trenton, Mrs. John McDermott of Chicago Heights and Mrs. R. W. Miller of Lake Geneva, twenty-one grandchildren and many relatives and friends of the couple were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Rosenmeier were married on May 25th, 1882, Rev. Dries officiating at St. Peter's church in this city, and they have lived continuously since on the farm where they now reside.
Mr. Rosenmeier was born in the town of Beaver Dam seventy-eight years ago, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenmeier, and his wife, who is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Froelich, was born in the town of Lowell in 1867.
The couple were presented with numerous bouquets of beautiful flowers.

Joseph Rosenmeier passed away at St. Joseph's hospital on Saturday, Dec. 22, after being in failing health for the past few months.
He was born in the town of Beaver Dam on March 7, 1864, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenmeier. On May 25, 1892, he was married to Bertha Froehlich. He had resided in the Town of Beaver Dam since his marriage.
Surviving him are the following children: Mrs. Anton Bohl, Town of Beaver Dam, Mrs. John McDermott of Chicago Heights, Ill., Mrs. Robert Bohl, Town of Beaver Dam, Mrs. R. W. Miller of Lake Geneva, and Mrs. Leona Meyer and Carl Rosenmeier at home. Twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Preceding him in death was his wife.
Funeral services were held from St. Peter's church on Wednesday, Dec. 26th, at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. William S. Gensler officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's cemetery.
