Mrs. Rebecca Moore, Near Rayland, Dies
Octagenarian Taken by Death Wednesday, Born Near Barton, O
Mrs. Rebecca DeVault Moore, in her eighty second year, died at 2:45 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home near Rayland. She had been ill but for a short time.
Mrs. Moore was born April 14, 1851, on the old Hardesty farm near Barton and was the last of a family of 10 children. Her husband, Samuel K Moore, died March 8, 1922. Surviving Mrs. Moore are the following children: Mrs. Rose Waite of Wheeling, Charles L Devault at home, Joseph Ellis Moore of Mt Pleasant, and Russell Moore of Emerson.
The remains were removed to the Gerke funeral home at Dillonvale and last evening was returned to the family home, where services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at the Hopewell cemetery, Warren Ridge.
Mrs. Moore had been a resident of Rayland for 32 years.
