Mildred Ann Michael, age 87, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born March 28, 1931 in Berkeley Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Gilbert and Goldie Minnie Harden Gallion.

She was a member of Wesleyan Chapel Church. Mildred had also served as Missionary President, Sunday School Teacher and was a board member of Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene. Mildred was a born again Christian and a devout prayer warrior. She was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and was the bookkeeper for J.D. Michael & Son saw mill. She was an avid reader, a homemaker and was devoted to her family.

Surviving are her children, Andrew David Michael of Berkeley Springs, Steve Eugene Michael of Mocksville, NC and Lewis Reed Michael of Martinsburg, four grandchildren, Jason Michael and Jared Michael, both of Martinsburg, Stephanie Payne of Stephens City, VA and Travis McFarland of Mooresville, NC, four great grandchildren, Ashley Kackley of Martinsburg, Jackson Payne of Stephens City, VA, Thomas McFarland and Luke McFarland, both of Mooresville, NC, two great great grandchildren, Cohen Kackley and Brin Kackley, both of Martinsburg and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Michael on April 30, 2010, two children, Laurene Ann Pittman and Joey Linwood Michael, five sisters, Hazel Elizabeth Himes, Nellie Hester Leach, Helen Fay Michael, Iona Marie Fox and Thelma Gallion, an infant sister, and four brothers, Lewis Andrew Gallion, James Stansbury Gallion, Charles Mostello Gallion and Emerson Ford Gallion.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Highland Cemetery, 4326 Highland Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, WV with the Rev. William C. Swope officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wesleyan Chapel, 1761 Woodmont Road, Great Cacapon, WV 25422.
