Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at LaForge Funeral chapel for Edgar Louis Tillman, 82, who died Sunday, April 7, at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Floyd V. Brower conducted the service and interment was in Maplewood cemetery in Blytheville.
Mr. Tillman had been ill intermittantly for quite a long time before his demise. Born on October 4, 1880, at Halls, Tenn., he was the son of Sam and Virgie Smith Tillman. He and his family moved here thirty-three years ago from the vicinity of Huffman, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lestie Tillman; three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Gray and Mrs. Mildred Gray of Mesa, Ariz. and Mrs. Libby Rhodes of Hayti; five sons, Louis Tillman of Blytheville, Edward Tillman of Hayti, Jimmy Tillman of St. Louis and John and Robert Tillman of Caruthersville; one brother, Andrew Tillman of Trenton, Tenn.; and several grandchildren.
