Mr. Tillman had been ill intermittantly for quite a long time before his demise. Born on October 4, 1880, at Halls, Tenn., he was the son of Sam and Virgie Smith Tillman. He and his family moved here thirty-three years ago from the vicinity of Huffman, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lestie Tillman; three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Gray and Mrs. Mildred Gray of Mesa, Ariz. and Mrs. Libby Rhodes of Hayti; five sons, Louis Tillman of Blytheville, Edward Tillman of Hayti, Jimmy Tillman of St. Louis and John and Robert Tillman of Caruthersville; one brother, Andrew Tillman of Trenton, Tenn.; and several grandchildren.
