HERMAN BOEVER RITES SET TUESDAY IN REMSEN CHURCH
Funeral services for Herman Boever, 73, who died Saturday at an Omaha hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic church.
Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. P. Schultes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery. The rosary
will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Fisch funeral home.
Mr. Boever, a retired farmer, was born Nov. 26, 1891, at Granville, to John H. and Margaret (Welter) Boever. He lived in or near Remsen most of his life. He married Lillian Niichel Feb. 10, 1920, at Ashton, Iowa.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW and the American Legion and served during World War I.
Survivors are the widow; six sons, Maurice in California, Donald of Potosi, Wis., Pat of Le Mars, James of Sioux City, Tom of Dubuque and Bonnie Boever of Sioux City; six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Wilcoxson of Sioux City, Mrs. Richard (June) Schiltz of Remsen, Mrs. Dean (Rebecca) Norris in California, Mrs. Earl (Mary Lee)Lange in Wisconsin, Mrs. William (Judy) Pover of Flint, Mich., and Molly Boever of Remsen; two brothers, Peter in Minnesota and John in Marcus, Iowa, four sister, Mrs. John (Mary) Roder of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Cyril (Katherine) Haag of Ledyard, Iowa, Mrs. Arther (Eleanor) Schemmel of Granville, Iowa, and Mrs. Henry (Irene) Schnee of Orange City, Iowa and 36 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Michael of Moody, SD and Frank of Bancroft, Iowa, two sister, Mrs. Eugene (Elizabeth) Hoffman of Sleepy Eye, MN and Mrs. Zeno (Matilda) Budden of Sioux City, Iowa.
