FUNERAL FOR C. A. KICKLIGTER TODAY
Chester Arthur Kicklighter, 69, died Monday night after an extended illness.
He was a native of Tattnall County, however, he had lived in Wayne County for 46 years and was a retired farmer.

He was the son of the late William M. Kicklighter and Mary Powell Kicklighter.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sara Vashti Waters Kicklighter of Screven; five daughters, Mrs. Edra Land, Mayo, Florida; Mrs. Myrl Collins, of Screven; Mrs. Arlene Miller, of St. Mary's; Mrs. Mildred Brannen, of Columbus; and Mrs. Ludie McElveen, of Savannah; three sons, C. Lafolia Kicklighter, of Screven; W. Harold Kicklighter, and Arnold H. Kicklighter, both of Brunswick; two brothers, Ross G. Kicklighter of Glennville, and Millard C. Kicklighter, of Screven; 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Funeral Services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 O'clock from the Screven Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Guy E. Smith, Elder Henry Waters and Elder York officiating.

Active Pallbearers were; nephews: Loyal, W. C., Ted, Kennis, G. W., and Walford Kicklighter.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Elder J. Walter Hendrix, J. C. Davis, R. H. Jennings, George Goddard, Leroy M. DeVane, Paul O. Revils, Cleon Radford, Elton A. Hutcheson, A. R. Crumpton, R. L. Mitchell Jr., M. T. Thomas, J. Fred Harley, Gus E. Walden, Kenneth Prinkstoff, Olan Jones, V. F. Agan, H. C. Stubbs, J. T. McAuthor, and J. W. Interment was in the Screven Cemetery in charge of Harrison Funeral Home.
