Mr. Sam Hood, 72, Native of Pike County, Ala., and a resident ofGrand Bay, died in a local hospital on Saturday, Jan., 18, 1969 at 1;30 p.m.
Mr. Hood is furvived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Hood, Grand Bay, three sons, W. F. Hood and Sam Hood , Jr., both of Grand Bay, Zora L."Bo" Hood,Swansboro, N. C.; five daughters,Mrs. Lige "Lena" Grayson, Phoenix City, Ala. Mrs. C. L. "Estell" Couch, Mrs. E. J. "Sybil" Burdick of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. George "Jean" Holladay, of Plattsburg, Ala., Mrs. Robert "Helen" Toomey of Grand Bay, ALa.; one brother, W. M. Hood of Troy, Ala., ; three sisters,Mrs. Joe Crocker, Enterprise, ALa., Mrs. O. G. Castleberry, Troy, Ala., Mrs. Fannie Crocker, Elba, Ala.; 24 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives
Funeral services will be held from the Friendship Baptist Church, Grand Bay, Ala., on Monday, Jan., 20,1969 at 1;00. Internment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Radney Funeral Home in charge.
