CWO2 Zora Lee "Bo" Hood, 83, of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his home.

He was a retired Marine Corps officer and served in the Vietnam and Korean War. Bo was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was also a Gideon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Taylor Hood; parents, Sam and Maudie Hood and children, Diane Dugan and Faye Knotts

He is survived by his biological children, Darrell Hood (Wanda) of Old Fort and Gail Hood Engram (Jerry) of Leesburg, GA; son-in-law, Tony Dugan; other children, Linda Stephens (Otto) of Columbus, GA and Edward Hood (Tracey) of Leesburg, GA; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Dugan, Rebecca Fugate, Kimberly Ryckeley, Amanda Lamb, Michael Engram, Zachary Hood, Samuel Hood, Zane Hood, Walker Hood and Chance Hood; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Jean Holladay of Leverne, AL and Helen Toomey of Grand Bay, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Beech Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerry Campbell, the Reverend Al Patterson and the Reverend Cecil Clegg officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Michael Engram, Samuel Hood, Zachray Hood, Zane Hood, Walker Hood, Chance Hood, B.J. Lamb, Taylor Fugate and Troy Ryckeley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
