Lura May Mode Harrington was the daughter of George Mode and Lena Nicklaus Horste. Her husband was Arthur J. Harrington, who passed away on July 28, 1947 and is buried in the Old Calvary Cemetery in Boston, Massachusetts. The owner of a grocery, Lura had gone for a drive one evening as the weather was so hot...a drunk driver hit her head on a short distance from her home and she died a few days later at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Lura resided in her life in Browns, Il; Grayville, Il; St. Louis, MO; Chicago, Il; and Madisonville, La. (as told by half sister Iva J. Horste Aley)
