LOGAN, UTAH: Charles "Chick" Huston Faulkner, Jr., our Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Nephew and Son returned to our Heavenly Father at the age of 68 on Tuesday, February 9, 1999. He was loved and cared for at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan, for the past few years.

Known as Chick by his family and friends, he was born in Moab, Utah on October 12, 1930, a son of Charles Huston and Dortha Taylor Faulkner, Sr. Charles married Vilate Reese of Bloomington, Idaho on November 16, 1952 in Ely, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 26, 1986. They were later divorced. When we think of Dad, one of the first thoughts is how he loved his family. How he was honest with his fellow man. He taught us all how to work hard, that knowledge is power and to be proud of what we accomplish. He loved to work with horses and was very proud of his Arabians. He would tell stories of his younger years in Wayne County, spending as many summers as possible with Granddad Taylor and Grandmother Jenny.

He served in the United State Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter and builder by profession and had worked in large commercial construction projects to include building dams, power plants and LDS temples.

Chick is survived by his mother, Dortha Faulkner of Alpine; his six siblings: Carol Floyd of Garden Grove, Calif; Mona Hewlett of Alpine; Glade (Pam) Faulkner of Tracy, Calif; Douglas (Jackie) Faulkner of Arlington, Wash.; Carl (Katherine) Faulkner of Cedar Ridge; and Hugh Faulkner of Manteca, Calif. He is also survived by his daughter and four sons. The oldest son is Charles Houston Faulkner III, of Paris, Ida.; Craig Reese Faulkner of Hyde Park; Curtis Alan (Linda) Faulkner of Manteca, Calif; Calvin Jon (Sue) Faulkner of Sacramento, Calif; and Kelli Jean (Leroy) Rocha of Ceres, Calif. He has 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers, Franklin, Merrill, Robert and a granddaughter, Lisa.

WE LOVE YOU MORE!

Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, February 13, 1999 in the Hyde Park Third Ward Chapel, 75 East Center Street in Hyde Park, with President Alan Plowman of the Sunshine Terrace LDS Branch conducting. Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cranney Mortuary.
