DEATH OF JOHN F. RAFFERTY.
A Young Man of Excellent Ability Who Had Occupied Responsible Positions.

John F. Rafferty, a popular young man, died yesterday morning at about 2 o’clock, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dominick Rafferty, No. 606 Harrison street. Although Mr. Rafferty was only 19 years old at the time of his death, he had held responsible positions with the firm of Mowry & Barnes and in the Commercial Bank. He suffered from consumption and last June went to Colorado Springs, where he improved slightly, and returned home in November. He was not thought to be in critical condition. Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, Dominick, manager of the local branch of the Hammond Company, and William F., of the law firm of Edgecomb & Rafferty, and five sisters, Mrs. A. Farrell, Mrs. L. P. Hughes and Misses Satie, Bridget and Agnes Rafferty.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at the house and at 9:30 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church.
