Hellen Marie Bamberg was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma to DeDan and Marie Nightengale Unruh. She graduated from Alden High School in 1955 and after having her children she earned her Master's Degree in Education from Phillips University in 1975. On August 7, 1960, she married the love of her life and they had 4 children together. She taught at Covington-Douglas High School for many years.
Hellen is survived by her husband; 3 of her children, 4 grandchildren and 3 siblings. She was preceded in death by her son John, her parents and her brother.
