ROY – Laurell Ray Coles, 66, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was born February 8, 1944, a son of Ray Campbell and Laura Miles Coles.

He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Pocatello High School. He received his Associates Degree from a Community College in Yakama, Washington.

Ray married Clara Luree Storm Hughes on May 13, 1993.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served as a Ward Clerk and Home Teacher. He was known for his hard work and for being a good provider, always taking great care of his family.

Ray had good parents, and through their example, he learned to be a good father and husband. He loved fishing, working on computers, reading, especially Louis Lamore books. He liked to tinker, take rides up the canyon and watch the lake. He had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Clara, parents, Ray and Mona Coles, daughters; Candy, Janice, Angelee, and Jennifer, stepchildren; Selena, Sandra, Raymond, Clayton, Joshua, and Daniel, 37 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Bonita, step-siblings; John, Janet, Gaylyn, Raydean, Diana, and Pat.

Ray was preceded in death by his mother and his son, Larry.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at the Roy 14th Ward, 5850 South 2575 West, Roy, Utah. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m., prior to services at the church.

Interment in the Roy City Cemetery.
