CLAIR H. BARKLEY
SAVONA – Clair H. Barkley, 79, of 31 McCoy Str., Savona died at his home Friday (Oct. 23, 1981) after a sudden illness.
He was born in Bradford and was a retired Corning Glass Works machinist.
He was a member of the Campbell American Legion, the Bath VFW, the Savona Grange, the Savona Rod and Gun Club, the Savona Senior Citizen Club.
Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Robbins of Bath and Clinton D. Barkley of Savona; two daughters, Mrs. Clairbel DuVall of Savona and Mrs. Virginia Holtz of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; one brother, Franklin Barkley of Bath; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Seager Funeral Home in Savona, where a funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert Knapp officiating and the Rev. Melbourne Riffle officiating.
Burial will be in Seamens Cemetery, Savona.
