Obituary.
Weller Longfellow, a son of Jonathan and Martha Longfellow was born at Millport, Knox County, Mo., Dec. 14 (sic), 1854, and died March 26, 1929, at 74 years 3 months and 11 days, after being in failing health about a year and bedfast a few days.
He united in marriage to Julian Williams on Sept. 28, 1879. To them six daughters were born. They are: Mrs. Laura Berryman of Rutledge, Mo.; Mrs. Nell Fleak of near Hurdland, Mo.; Mrs. Mary Woodard, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Nannie Gibler of Lancaster, Calif.; Mrs. Ada Noblett of near Edian, Mo., who with the mother survive, and one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Baldwin, who died April 21, 1910
Beside the immediate family he leaves to mourn their loss three brothers: Robert of Elk Falls, Kan.; John of near Edina, Mo., and Dan Longfellow of Rutledge, Mo. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a kind and devoted husband and father, who will be sadly missed nor only by his family, but all who knew him.
During his last illness he accepted Christ as his Savior, and died in that glorious faith.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock last Thursday afternoon at the house, the Rev. D. D. Renick of Knox City officiating. Burial was in Linville cemetery.

Was Sufferer of Cancer for Some Time—End Came Last Tuesday.
Funeral services for Weller Longfellow, 74 years old and a native of Knox County, who died Tuesday evening of last week, were conducted at 2 o'clock last Thursday afternoon at the home east of Edina by the Rev. D. D. Renick of Knox City. Burial was in the Linville cemetery. Mr. Longfellow had been in failing about a year, but bedfast only a few days. Death resulted from cancer.
His widow survives with five daughters, who are: Laura, Mrs. Andy Berryman, of Rutledge; Nell, Mrs. Dell W. Fleak, of near Hurdland; Mrs. Mary Woodard of St. Louis; Nannie, Mrs. Max Gibler, of Lancaster, Calif., and Ada, Mrs. Harry Noblitt, of near Edina. One daughter, Mrs. Hattie Baldwin, died April 21, 1910.
