Ada Alice Noblitt, 86, of Edina died Tuesday evening (Dec. 29, 1981) at 6:55 in a Kirksville hospital, where she had been a patient one week. Before entering the hospital she had been a resident of Knox County Nursing Home, Edina.
Born Jan. 18, 1896 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Weller and Julia Ann William Longfellow. On Jan. 12, 1920 at Memphis, she was married to Harry J. Noblitt who preceding (sic) her in death on March 9, 1979. Also preceding her in death were twin daughters in infancy and five sisters, Addie Baldwin, Laura Berryman,, Mary Woodard, Nellie Fleak and Nan Gibler.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, including, Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Threlkeld, Mrs. John (Pat) Witte, Harold Fleak and Paul Fleak.
Mrs. Noblitt spent most of her live (sic) in Knox County. for a number of years, Mr. and Mrs. Noblitt raised dogs.
Mrs. Noblitt was a member of the United Methodist Church of Edina.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon (Dec. 31, 1981) in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina. the Rev. Ronald Garner of Edina will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery in Edina.
