Mrs. Catherine McArthur, 88, died Monday, August 9, 1926, in Stillwater, Ok., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kitty Lee Taylor, 509 Hester street.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Bennett-Sherrod Funeral home, 423 Main street, conducted by the Rev. A.F. Wasson, Baptist minister. Burial will be in the Iowa Chapel cemetery, ten miles southwest of Perkins.
The decedent is survived by five children, L.P. McArthur, Perkins; Mrs. Mary Reed, Sunnyside, Wash.; N.C. McArthur, Cedar Rapids, Io.; L.A. McArthur, Brewster, Kan., and Mrs. Taylor, and by twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McArthur was Miss Catherine Carpenter. She was born June 11, 1838, at Lancaster, O. She went with her parents when she was 11 to Cedar Rapids, Io. She became a member of the Presbyterian church when 19, later joining the Church of God.
