EARL GROUTAGE
Funeral services were held Thursday in the LDS church for Earl Groutage, 52. Bishop Woodrow Hunter conducted the rites and burial was in Mountain View cemetery.
Pallbearers were four nephews, Dale Groutage, Ronald and Ralph Wooden and Melvin Groutage, and Dee Moore and Clifford Roos.
Mr. Groutage, resident of Rock Springs for 40 years, died unexpectedly Monday in Sweetwater County Memorial hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1911, in Hanna, the son of Winifred Henry and Clara Groutage.
Mr. Groutage was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion, Archie Hay post, which conducted graveside military services. He had been employed at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital for 26 years.
Survivors are five brothers, James and Louis Groutage, both of Rock Springs; Percy and Ralph Groutage, both of Salt Lake City; and Fred Groutage of Reliance, and two sisters, Mrs. H.E. Wooden of Afton and Mrs. Dee Moore of Concord, Calif.
