Mrs Alex Clinton
Funeral services for Mrs Alex Clinton, 72, of Bainbridge were held Sunday, May 3 at West Street Baptist Church.
Interment was in Oak City Cemterey with Rev. Wade Dyches and Rev. Gerald Garrett officiating.
Mrs Clinton passed away in Memorial Hospital after several weeks of illness. She was born in Coffee County, Ala. February 2, 1893 and was a member of West Street Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Alex Clinton, seven daughters,
Mrs Lester Lambert, Mrs Earley Benton and Mrs alvin Clayton of Bainbridge, Mrs Margarett Kanganlou, Mrs Mary Glisson of Athens and Mrs Elza Clenney of Tallahassee; two
sons, Earl Clinton, Bainbridge and Alex Clinton,Jr., Tallahassee; 51 grand children and 19 great grand children; one sister, Mrs Phillip Scofield, Opp, Ala., three brothers Henry, Will and Simon Jowers of Opp, Ala.
Active pallbearers were: John White, J.W. Herdon, A.J. DeLoach, Irie Ingram, James Hooks and Frank Moore.
