Ronald W. Cameron, age 76, of Gladwin, passed away on Dec. 31, 2008, at his home in Gladwin. He was born on Oct. 20, 1932, in Gladwin County the son of William Cameron and Stella Bardwell.
Ron was a Korean War Veteran, Retired from Dow Chemical after 30 years of employment; he loved fishing, camping and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; sisters, Iva and Ruth.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Joan Cameron of Gladwin; son, Brian Cameron of Franklin, Indiana; daughter, Janis and Charles Rogers of Indianapolis, Indiana; granddaughter, Ashlee Cameron of Flint; sister, Rosemary Trumble of Beaverton; and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of Ron cremation hastaken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Grout Township Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of MidMichigan. Gladwin County Record dated 1-7/2009 Page - 2.
