Iva B. Bender, 59, of Gladwin, died Monday, March 6, 1995 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio following a sudden illness. Born May 1, 1935 in Gladwin,she resided in Gladwin the past 10 years since moving from Flint. Mrs. Bender was employed at General Motors' metal fabricating in Flint until she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church. The former Iva Cameron married Arthur Bender April 10, 1954 in Gladwin.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Kevin and Timothy, both of Flint; one daughter, Lorie and husband Jose Velasquez of Flint; her mother, Stella Bardwell of Gladwin; one sister, Rosemary Trumble of Beaverton; and one brother, Ronald Cameron of Gladwin. She was preceded in death by a brother, William in December 1981 and a sister, Ruth (Rose) Stillwell in August 1993.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin with the Rev. James Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 3-8/1995 Column – 1 Page – 6.
