Floyd Dalton Edmonds – age 85 – passed away Saturday May 20, 2011 in Baytown. Dalton was born in Eunice, LA May 7, 1925 the son of the late Jess and Bathilde Daigle Edmunds. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy in the Construction battalion. He was self-employed as the owner operator of Edmonds Oil. Dalton also enjoyed farming, ranching, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son Carlton Glenn Edmonds, daughter-in-law Terry Lee Edmonds, grandson Kyle Edmonds, brothers Leroy and W.M. Edmonds and a sister Dorothy Natali. He leaves behind the cherish his memory his devoted wife Velma Edmonds of Anahuac, son Floyd D. Edmonds and wife Robin of Anahuac, sister Myrtle Mallett of Dallas, granddaughters, Kristen Cothren and husband Dana of Baytown, and Mallory Hisler of Anahuac, and two great-grandchildren, Kase and Lexi Cothren. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 2PM at Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Anahuac with visitation to be held one hour prior. Burial to be held in Anahuac Cemetery
