Myrtle Mallett was born on February 16, 1919 in Mamau, Louisiana to Jessie Edmonds and Bathilda Daigle Edmonds. She attended school in Bell City, Louisiana. Myrtle married Millard Mallett on November 6, 1935. They were married 63 years. After his death in 2001 she moved into The Bentley where she lived 8 years. She was living at Aunt Maude's House when she passed away on December 16, 2012.

She is survived by her daughter Audrey Merolla; grandson, Barry Merolla; granddaughter, Renee' Jarnagin and husband, Dana; great grandson, Sean; grandson, Michael Merolla and wife, Paddy; great granddaughter, Kelsey; and great grandsons, Taylor and Kevin.

Myrtle was a very talented seamstress and made many quilts. She also crocheted baby caps and blankets for babies in the hospital for many years. She will be missed.

Services will be on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the chapel of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Visitation/viewing will begin at 1:00 pm, the rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm and the funeral mass will begin at 2:00 pm. Father Bradley will be officiating. The burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas.
