Survivors: his wife; four daughters - Joan Pierson of Olney, Betty Jo Jones of Seymour, Betty Ann Jenkins of Wichita Falls, Betty Jean McMullins of Floydada; son - J.P. Pierson, Jr. of Wichita Falls, three brothers - Joe Pierson of Houston, Richard Pierson of Slocum, John Pierson of Rotan; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
