LYONEL "RED" TAYLOR
A memorial service for Lyonel "Red" Taylor, 75, of Sulphur, the father of Susan Phyllis Fulton of Davis, was held March 5, 2002, at Cowley-Krien Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Joughin officiated.
Taylor was born Oct. 17, 1926, at Sand Springs to John and Greyce (Brown) Taylor and died March 2 at the Ardmore Veterans Center. He married Una Baughman on April 25, 1947, at Sulphur. Taylor attended school in Sulphur and at East Central University. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Sulphur National Guard. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the Elks and Masons. He loved golf, hunting and fishing. He was a lifelong resident of Sulphur.
His survivors include his daughter; four grandchildren, Boyd Fulton of Midwest City, Thomas Fulton of Davis, and Derek and Trisha Taylor of Sulphur; a great-grandchild; a brother, Joe Taylor of Sulphur, and two sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard.
