Funeral services were held June 14 at the Calvary Baptist church for John Richard Taylor, 77, who died June 11, 1980 in Sulphur. Rev. Jim House officiated. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by McAffrey Funeral Home.
Born in Chandler on March 10, 1903, he was a retired cheesemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Greyce, of the home, two daughters, Max Newell, Wynnewood and Bobby Frost, Sulphur; two sons, Lyonel and Joe, both of Sulphur; one sister, Floss Long, Chandler, 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
