Ramona Weekes, 93, died Feb.11, 2002, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.
She was born Feb. 21, 1908, at Cleveland, Okla., the daughter of John and Gertrude Prentice Elwell. A resident of Hutchinson since 1993, formerly of Cleveland, Okla., Topeka, and Lake Wabaunsee, she worked as a dress shop clerk, Topeka, and as a dental assistant at a children's dentist.
She belonged to Wabaunsee County EHU.
On Aug. 4, 1926, she married Howard Weekes. He died in 1984.
Survivors include two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Jean.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Methodist Church, Eskridge. Family will visit one hour before the service. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorials may be sent to Good Samaritan House, Hutchinson, in care of Crable Funeral Chapel, Eskridge.
