Eskridge-- Mrs. Margaret J. Rohla, 86, Eskridge, died Wednesday at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1895 at Linn, the daughter of John and Eliza Prentice Elwell. She lived in Topeka, Arkansas and Oklahoma before she moved to Eskridge eight years ago.

Mrs. Rohla was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church of Huntsville, Ark.

She married James B. Rohla in March 1926 at Topeka. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ramona Weekes, Lake Wabaunsee, near Alma.

Services are pending. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.

Margaret J. Rohla,
daughter of John Crouch and Eliza Gertrude Prentice Elwell, was born February 11, 1895, at Linn, Ks., and died at a Topeka hospital on Wednesday, December 23, 1981, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 12 days.

She was married to James B. Rohla March 8, 1926, in Topeka. He died January 4, 1962, at Huntsville, Ark. The couple worked for institutions from 1926 to 1956 in Kansas, Washington, and Arkansas. They retired in 1956, and moved to their retirement home at Kingston, Ark. Following the death of Mr. Rohla, Margaret moved to Eskridge to be near her sister, and had lived in the community 18 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Huntsville, Ark.

Mrs. Rohla is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ramona Weekes, of Lake Wabaunsee; a number of other relatives and friends.

The Reverand Elmo Keller officiated the services Saturday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eskridge. Special music, "How Great Thou Art" and "My God and I" were played by organist Pansy Wakefield.
Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, under the direction of Austin Funeral Home, Eskridge. Casket bearers were Robert Kraus, Delbert Cross, Virgil Wall, Darrell Turnbull, William Mix, and Russell Taylor.
