Word has been received by Mrs. Minnie Swenson of 105 North Sheridan Avenue, of the death of her sister, Mrs. Nettie Pearson at Muscatine at 6 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Pearson resided for a number of years on a farm near Munterville. She was a member of the Munterville Lutheran Church where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Munterville Cemetery.

Mrs. Pearson, 70, Goes in Death; Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Nettie Pearson, 76, a resident of Muscatine for 23 years, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday at her home, 1222 Mulberry Avenue, after an illness since last Monday following a heart attack. She was born on January 1, 1870, near Ottumwa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Westlake. Her marriage to Swen Pearson occurred on March 15, 1887, at Ottumwa. Mrs. Pearson was a member of the Lutheran church at Munterville, Iowa. Surviving are two sons, Dr. R. R. Pearson, Muscatine and Howard R. Pearson Macon, Missouri; one daughter Dr. Stella C. Pearson, Muscatine, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. L. L. Swenson, Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Robert Pearson, of the U.S. Air Corps in France, and Jerry and Richard Pearson, Muscatine. Preceding her in death were her husband and one daughter, Myrtle C. Pearson. The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home and services will be conducted there at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday and at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Munterville Lutheran Church, Munterville, Iowa. The Rev. David M. Funk, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church here, will be in charge, assisted by the Rev. Carl Cedarberg of Munterville. Interment will be in the Munterville Cemetery.
