Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church for Dr. Stella Pearson, 87, 1222 Mulberry Ave. Dr. Pearson died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday at university Hospitals, Iowa City, following complications on an extended illness. Officiating will be Rev. Don Harding. Burial will be in Munterville Cemetery in Munterville, Iowa. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Stella Pearson was born July 6, 1888, in Blakesburg, the daughter of Swen and Nettie Westlake Pearson. She had been a resident of Muscatine most of her life. She attended the Grace Lutheran Church and was a retired Doctor of Osteopathy. Survivors include one brother, Howard Pearson, of Ottumwa; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by one brother.
