Charles Laughton of Reno is patenting a new gold-saving machine for placer mining, and especially for the black sands of Oregon ocean beaches. It takes little water and separates the gold from the iron concentrates, he claims - something no other machine is capable of doing.

Laughton Funeral Services Friday

Last rites for Charles Laughton will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Ross-Burke Co. chapel with the Rev. John T. Ledger of the Trinity Espiscopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

*Husband of Ella who died Friday, March 14, 1924
*Father of Mildred Laughton who died November 1904 in Auburn, California of spinal meningitis at the age of three years and eleven months.
