Sarah Ann Valentine was born May 30, 1832 (according to her parents' family register), in Franklin County, Ohio, the 7th of 11 children of John and Susanna Peters Valentine. She was the granddaughter of John Henry and Elizabeth Freeze Valentine. On July 4, 1854, in Allen County, Indiana, Sarah married Rev. Jesse Beem Noe, son of Aaron Osborn Noe and Sarah Beem. Sarah and Jesse were the parents of 7 children: Rosella Valentine, Naomi J., Lewis Carl, Olive America, Isadora Belle, Minnie Mahaska and Jessie G. Noe. Sarah passed away September 23, 1888, in Marion County, Iowa, and was buried in Swan Cemetery, Swan, Marion County, Iowa.
