Services for Kay Bailey, 68, 502 S. Olive, are pending at Denton Funeral Home.
She died Thursday in a hospital in Roswell.
She was born July 6, 1917 in Olustee, Okla., and was raised in Alters, Okla. She came to Carlsbad in 1939. She married Jack C. Bailey on Sept 12, 1936 in Duncan. She was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Jack C. Bailey, Carlsbad; two sons, Charles Bailey and Gary Bailey, both of Baytown, Texas; two daughters, Sonja Spencer, Albuquerque, and Elaine Baily, Grants; one brother, Ted Harrison, Kenniwick, Wash.; one sister, Helen Otto, Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Denton Funeral Home Chapel for Kay Bailey, 68, 502 S. Olive St., who died Thursday in a Roswell hospital.
Officiating at services will be the Rev. Rick Hudson of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Rev. Harry Brooks, retired Baptist minister. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Herb Bemis, Jerry Barton, Barney Leigon, F.D. Smith, Joe Jordan and R.C. Hand.
