Graveside service for Charles Alvin Bailey, 68, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Sill National Cemetery.

Mr. Bailey died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in Lawton.

Services are under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

He was born July 7, 1941, in Carlsbad, N.M., to Jack C. and Rose K. Harrison Bailey. He was raised and attended school in Carlsbad, N.M. He joined the Air Force his senior year in high school and served from April 1959 until February 1963 and again from July 1969 until July 1973. He served in Korea and Vietnam. After his discharge, he worked for civil service as an airplane electrical work on line. He was forced to retire in 1998 due to his health. He married Carol Ann Rowlett on Aug. 28, 1998. He did DIY projects, mostly dealing with electricity or growing plants, hydroponics and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Jack and Felicia Bailey, Virginia Beach, Va.; Jason Bailey, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Jeffrey Bailey, Rupert, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren: Brook, Marshal, Tyler, Casey, Yasamin, Julian, Dakota, Leslie, Tiana and Steven; a brother and sister-in-law, John G. and Sandra Bailey, Texas; a sister, Charolotte Elaine Bailey, Grants, N.M.; and three step-children and their spouses: Jeremy and Karen Love, Lawton; Crystal Love, Arizona; and Stacie and Julius Halmos, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Jerry Spencer.
