Oleater Childs
Funeral services for Mrs. Oleater Y. Childs, 59, of Minden, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Rose-Neath Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Brock officiating.
Mrs. Childs died Tuesday morning in the Minden Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Minden, a nurse and a member of the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thurston Childs of Minden; three daughters, Gail Caldwell of Smithville, Texas and Sandra Haynie and Joye Makowsky, both of Minden; one brother, Coahran Young of Monroe; two sisters, Barnell Frye of Springhill and Puella Pair of Homer; and seven grandchildren.
