Gwendolyn Gail Childs Graham went to be with our Lord at 10:58 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 in Houston, Tx following a lengthy illness. She was 51 years old.
Funeral services were to be held today (Tuesday, July 21) at 3 p.m. at Hill Crest Church in Haughton with Bro. Malcolm Self officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham was born on July 19, 1940 in Shreveport.
She is preceded in death by her mother, O'Leater Young Childs; paternal grandparents, Pharris Franklin Childs and Bonnie Love Bonnell Childs; maternal grandparents, Henry Caleb Young Sr.and Ora Bell Spurlock Young.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wayne Graham, Houston, Tx., father, Bonnie Thurston Childs, Minden; one daughter, Christy Carol Kinsler, Houston, Tx., two sons, Steven Ray Grosz, Minden, Benny Lee Beckham, Jr., Houston, Tx., two sisters, Sandra Faye Haynie, Gloria Joye Makowsky, both of Minden; eight grandchildren, four nephews and three great nephews.
Pallbearers were nephews, Dwayne Hickman, David Haynie, Dale Makowsky, Mike Makowsky, Ben Graham, Ray Graham.
