Oran - Funeral service for Mrs. Levadie Abernathy will be held Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston. Burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Mrs. Abernathy, 73 years old, of Oran, died Saturday in the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 29, 1900, at Bloomfield.
Surviving are sons, Johnie, Leeroy and Robert Abernathy; daughters, Mrs. Mary Carver, Mrs. Maudie Denton, Mrs. Violet Farmer, Mrs. Tinie Clark, Mrs. Betty Jean Huffman, Mrs. Pretshie Ellsworth and Mrs. Fern Thomas; brother, Paul Hoxworth; sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Wright, Mrs. Ora Rodgers and Mrs. Ruby Huffman; 33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
