Sikeston - Betty Jean Abernathy Huffman, 59 years old, of rural Sikeston, died Thursday following an automobile accident in Howell County.
She was born June 14, 1934, in Morley, the daughter of Henry William and Levadie Mae Hoxworth Abernathy.
On July 29, 1973, she married Abram Earl Huffman in Biloxi, Miss. He survives.
Other survivors include five sons, Henry, Jessie, Harry, Frank and Earl Oliver; five daughters, Bobbie Pugh, Paula Burns, Rose Rhymes, Sharie Cook and Ruby Comer; three brothers, Lee Roy, Bobbie and Johnnie Abernathy; six sisters, Maudie Denton, Violet Farmer, Mary Carver, Fern Thomas, Tina Clark and Pretshie Ellsworth; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery.
