Rosella Baker, 80, died Wednesday, October 9, 1985, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.

She was born in Springs, February 5, 1905, daughter of the late Jonas Ash and Alice (Yoder) Ash. She was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church and the Daughters of Dorcas Sewing Circle of the church. She was a member of the Meyersdale Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Fifth Society of Farm Women, and was a volunteer worker at the Goodwill Mennonite Home in Grantsville, Md., and with World's Attic Relief. Her husband, Earl Baker, died April 29, 1978. Surviving are five sons, Paul Baker, Springs; Clark Baker, Oakland, Md.; Bernard Baker, Canton, O.; Ronald Baker, Reno, Nev.; Clifford Baker, Louisville, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Thomas, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Joan Opel, Accident, Md.; Mrs. Kay Marshall, Carlisle; one brother, Clyde Ash, and a sister, Mrs. Lura Folk, both of Springs; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Steve Heatwole and the Rev. Galen Beitzel officiating. Interment, Springs Cemetery.
