Wayne George Cookman, 76, of Phoenix, a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier, died August 12, 1994. He was born in Anderson, Indiana to John and Lydia (Adams) Cookman. He was a WW2 Army veteran. He was also a member of the Glendale Police Reserve Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and his beloved wife Ruby (Maddox) Cookman. Survivors include his two daughters, Janice Shaw (Tim) and Rebecca Bos; his four sons, William (Mary), Jim (Bette), Max and Phillip (Patricia); two brothers; 13 grandchildren, David, Darrell, Dwayne, Tobin, Trina, Tonya, Teresa, Donny, Eric, Paul, Keith, Nicholas and Jessica; 2 Step Grandchildren; Beth and Scott and five great-grandchildren.
