LYDIA COOKMAN DIES IN MUNCIE
Mrs. Lydia Cookman, age 54, wife of John Cookman, former resident of this city, who lived at Emporia, expired today at 8:30am at the Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, where she had been a patient for three weeks.

A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. Adams, Mrs. Cookman was born near Sadieville, Ky. The family came to Anderson when she was a child, and she had lived here ever since moving to Emporia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Cookman is a employee of the Delco-Remy Division of General Motors Corporation.

The body was removed to the George McCarty funeral home at Fortville, and will be returned to the family residence tomorrow morning. Other arrangements for services have not been completed.

Surviving besides the husband are four daughters, Mrs. Louise Herkless, Mrs. Marjorie Delph, Mrs. Martha Mullen, all of this city, and Miss Lois Cookman, at home; three sons, Forrest, Wayne and John A. Cookman, all at home; three grandsons, one granddaughter, and a brother, John Adams, all of this city.
