GREENSBURG RECORD HERALD OBITUARY – 1986
Miss Ida Lee DeSpain, daughter of the late Mr. Ells DeSpain and Mrs. Mary Susan Marcum was born December 10, 1893 in Green County and departed this life at 6:40 a.m. Sunday, October 19, 1986 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She was 93 years, 10 months and 19 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church at the time of her death.
Miss DeSpain is survived by one son: Mr. Charles DeSpain of Georgia.
She is also survived by one brother: Gilbert DeSpain of Hodgenville; three sisters, Mrs. Flora "Doll" Thompson of Greensburg, Mrs. Lena Graham of Hodgenville and Mrs. Ruth Loyall of Magnolia.
The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where serves were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 20 with burial in the Summersville Memory Gardens. Rev. Thurma Eaton officiated.
Pallbearers were Harold McCubbin, Woody Holt, Leon Lewis, J. R. Loyall, Shelby Pruitt and Ronnie DeSpain.
