She united in marriage to Mr. Emmett Elous Thompson on September 5, 1917, who preceded her in death on March 4, 1965. To this union were born one son and two daughters: Coreen Holt of Mt. Washington and Margie Bell [Bale] of Louisville. She was preceded in death by Walter Clay Thompson on August 19, 1980.
She is also survived by one sister and one brother: Ruth Loyall of Summersville and Mr. Gilbert DeSpain of Fordsville; one son-in-law: Charles W Holt of Mt. Washington; three grandchildren: Phyllis Stump of Lexington, North Carolina; Anna Visser of Edgewood, California; and Alice Thompson of Louisville; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law: Carl E Bell [Bale] on January 18, 1995; and one daughter-in-law: Gladys Hall Thompson on March 30, 1995.
The funeral services for Mrs. Flora "Doll" Thompson were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, March 4 in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Otis Clell Skaggs officiated.
Pallbearers were Larry Thompson, Ed Altman, Junior Elkins, Doyle Akin, Glen Bale and Gene Shelton.
